Establishment of computer and language training labs in educational institutions across the country: -
Aims and Objectives:

Establishment of specialized computer labs in educational institutions of all districts of the country with a view to expanding computer education, creating employment opportunities, accelerating efficiency and language skills.
Provide internet connection to selected organizations for setting up local cyber centers.
Provide state-of-the-art facilities for computer use to encourage and inspire learning using multimedia at SSC and HSC levels.
To create information technology based language learning opportunities by setting up labs to accelerate language based freelancing, outsourcing and other competencies.
Activities:

Establishment of computer labs in 4,176 educational institutions in every district of the country.
To create language training opportunities by providing language training software in a total of 64 upazilas, one in each district.
Provide training to 1,000 teachers in 9 languages ​​(English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Arabic and Chinese).
Introduce internet connectivity in each lab.
Results / Progress:

This will increase the opportunities for ICT education at SSC and HSC levels and the 2,000 well-equipped and high-speed state-of-the-art computer and language learning labs with internet facilities will be considered as ICT infrastructure.
In addition to imparting important training in computer graphics and animation to the grassroots level students, 09 different essential language learning opportunities will be created.
Learning a foreign language will increase the field of freelancing and overseas employment.
Language trainers of existing language training institutes (Dhaka University) in the country will provide training to 1000 teachers of selected educational institutions.
Trained teachers will train students and other teachers as master trainers.
Students who have passed SSC and HSC in a computer lab rich institution will be able to involve themselves in income generating activities through the use of computer.
Adequate computer knowledgeable manpower will be created across the country.
The barriers to freelancing and outsourcing will be reduced.
Young people who are proficient in international languages ​​will further enrich the market of freelancing and outsourcing.
The “National ICT Policy-2009” has been approved by the government. The achievements of this project are directly linked to the strategic content of the National ICT Policy-2009.
